PSTI’s Instructor Certification Seminars

The PSTI’s Instructor Training programs meet the requirements of State and Federal guidelines and regulatory compliance for maintaining a Workplace Violence Prevention Training program. These instructor courses involve scenario-based exercises, group interaction, discussion, lecture, and hands-on techniques. PSTI’s training programs are modular based and can be adapted into a variety of scheduling and training dynamics.

PSTI offers on-site (where we come to you) instructor training and seminar based instructor training.

PSTI  Instructor Seminar Requirements (All Courses)
^

Instructor candidate must attend all sessions of the training course to be certified.

^

Instructor candidate must pass the written exam with an 80% (AVADE®) and 85% all other courses or better.

^

Instructor candidate must pass the trainers presentation with an acceptable rating.

^

Instructor candidate must pass the physical skills test (if applicable) with an acceptable rating.

^

Instructor candidate must adhere to all requirements & guidelines as set forth in the manual.

^

Instructor must provide a student manual for each person initially trained.

^

Recertification as an instructor is required every three years.

^

PSTI Instructors are authorized to teach their agency staff only (in-house instructor).
